Your playbook: work your way in every country
Add your own steps to Settio's plan, hide the ones you don't use and set your offices per city, country by country, for every case your team runs.
- 1Open your countrySettings → How you work in each country (Admins of an agency, or of a company running its own cases), then pick the country. Settio's steps are grouped by stage (before the move, arrival, after the move, leaving), with who does each one and when. The header says which review of Settio's pack the playbook is based on and how many changes are yours.
- 2Hide what you don't useSwitch a step off. Hiding a critical step needs a note for your team, and it is written to the audit log (Reports → Exports).
- 3Add your own stepsAdd a step: what to do, who does it, the stage, what its date counts from (the start date, arrival, the permit decision or its expiry) and how many days before or after, how it's done and the documents to collect. Your steps go to the main person only, never to family members. What authorities asked for lists, per route, the requests that came up most on your last filed cases (at least five on the route): Add as a playbook step fills in Add a step with one. Nothing is added by itself.
- 4Set your officesYour offices: pick a kind of step and a city: "address registration in Berlin → our Bürgeramt". Every case going to that city shows it on the step, with Directions and Booking, before Settio's own office.
- 5Set your paperwork lead timesPaperwork lead times: how many days getting an original, an apostille, a consular legalisation and a translation take for your cases in that country. Every document's chain on the person page is planned back from the appointment or due date with them; empty fields use Settio's defaults, which are labelled as such. They change no step, so they save at once.
- 6Preview, then savePreview and save lists the people moving to that country whose steps change (added, removed, kept), and nothing changes until you click Save and apply. Done steps and steps holding a file always stay. New cases follow the playbook from the start.
Your clients' cases follow your playbook while you run them; a company that runs its own cases keeps its own.
When Settio updates a country and a change touches a step you hid, the person page's rules banner and the playbook say so. Check it, then save to mark it reviewed.
Rule updates never bring a hidden step back: your playbook is part of every plan Settio compares.
