Move estimate: what the move will cost
Price a household's move before it starts, send it to the employer for approval, and track costs against it.
- 1Price the moveOnce the household's needs are answered, Relocation → Move estimate → Price the move: temporary housing (the tier's nights × the city's nightly rate), the shipment (a typical volume for the household's size, or their own, capped by the tier), flights per person, the tier's lump sum, the permit fees per applicant and, for an agency's client, the agency's services from its price list. Edit or add lines, then Send for approval. The employer's Admins (at a company whose cases an agency runs, its Admins and Members) approve or decline it on the Relocation tab or from Home → Spend to approve. Print it from the card.
- 2The approved estimate is the budgetFrom then on Policy and budget compares the costs you record against the estimate's lines (housing, shipment, flights, permit fees, agency services) and its total; costs it didn't plan for show as Not in the estimate. Editing an approved estimate starts a new version; the approved one stays the budget until the new one is approved.
- 3Set your ratesThe rates behind every estimate (a night of temporary housing per city, a cubic metre shipped and a flight per person) sit next to the relocation policy in Settings → Company details (agencies: each client's Billing tab). Sweden's starting values are rough market prices; the permit fees come from the country's dated facts.
- 4Outside SwedenPick the country in the rates card and enter your own prices, in that country's currency (EUR for Germany). Settio ships no market prices outside Sweden, so a German move is priced once you have entered Germany's rates; until then the card says where to add them. The permit fees come from the country's dated facts: in Germany the national visa and the first residence title per person, half for a child. The tier's lump sum (set in SEK) and the agency's price list (SEK) stay out of an estimate in another currency: add a line.
Only the employer approves: the agency never approves its client's money.
Agency services come from the case's quote when there is one, else from your price list, excluding VAT.
