Hiring someone under temporary protection
For people displaced from Ukraine: the routes to a regular permit before temporary protection ends, as a dated step.
- 1Say where they apply fromOn the person's details, choose Already in the country, changing status, then What they hold today: Temporary protection.
- 2Add the end date if it differsLeave Valid until empty to use the date the country states, or enter the person's own date.
- 3Follow the switch stepWhere the country's authority describes a route, the plan gets one step: the routes, their official pages and the day to apply by, 120 days before protection ends.
- 4Change the status when it's doneOnce the new permit is granted, change What they hold today; an open switch step goes away.
The EU has extended temporary protection until 4 March 2028. Denmark and Norway have their own schemes and dates.
Where no official page describes a route yet, no step is added and the question stays open in the country library.
