Recognition of a qualification
A person in a regulated profession, such as a nurse, needs their qualification recognised and a licence before they may work in it. Settio adds those steps to the plan and shows where the recognition stands.
- 1Say the professionIn the new-hire wizard, answer which profession the person will work in, where the country asks it (Germany today). Later, Details → The move changes it, showing the steps added and removed first. Set the region of the workplace too: it names the body that decides.
- 2Follow the recognition stepsA regulated profession adds the recognition steps to the plan: find the competent body, gather the documents (diploma, training hours, licence, good standing, translations, apostille), apply, the decision, closing any gaps, the language certificate and the licence to practise. On a route where recognition happens after entry, they start after the arrival.
- 3Record the outcomeDetails → Recognition shows each stage. Press Record the outcome to say where it stands and list the gaps a deficit notice names. After a deficit notice, choose an adaptation course or a knowledge exam on the card.
- 4Let the plan followFull recognition with no gaps sets the adaptation course or exam step aside as not needed; a later deficit notice opens it again. Either change shows in the Story, and the toast offers Undo: it puts the step and the outcome you recorded back as they were.
The card names the competent body for the workplace's region where Settio has read it on an official page (for nursing in Germany, every state); until the region is set it links to the country's official recognition finder.
A profession that is not regulated adds no recognition steps and shows no card.
Germany: routes for a qualification measure after a deficit notice, the recognition partnership (work from day one, recognition after entry) and the Western Balkans regulation are offered in the wizard. The yearly cap of that regulation shows in its steps.
Who may see it: the recognition is part of the person's data, so it is in their data export and removed when the case is anonymised.
