Cohorts: candidates who move together
A cohort is a group of candidates moving to one employer, such as the nurses for one hospital, with a target start. Its board shows where each one is, and the employer sees the group in its monthly report.
- 1Start a cohortPeople → Cohorts → New cohort: a name, the employer (for an agency, one of its clients), the target start and, if you have one, the language course's provider from your vendors.
- 2Add the first candidateOn the cohort's board, press Add the first candidate. The full new-hire form opens with the cohort and its start filled in: the country, the route, the region and the profession you choose make the plan. From Add a person, pick the cohort on the route step: it lists the open cohorts of the employer you chose.
- 3Add the others from a fileAdd candidates takes a spreadsheet saved as CSV with a name, an email and a nationality per candidate, and optionally a profession column (its name or the country's own title, such as Nurse or Hebamme). A file without a header row reads the columns in that order: name, email, nationality, then the profession if you have one. It says how many are ready and how many have no email. Each gets the same plan as the first candidate, with their own profession when the row names one; nobody is invited until you choose.
- 4Follow the boardEach row shows the stages in order: documents, recognition, language, visa and arrival (recognition and language only where the plan has them), the next step, who has it and the readiness verdict. Select ticks several candidates to remind them, assign a consultant, or ask them all for one document: Ask for a document lists what the selected candidates still owe, and each one who owes it gets their own request in their language. You have a few seconds to undo before the emails go. Each row then says which document was last asked for and when, and the menu marks the candidates already asked today: asking again leaves them out.
- 5Share the pipelineThe employer's monthly report has a section per cohort: how many, how many on track, how many may start later than planned, and where they are. No names.
The language course is the language step in each plan, with its certificate. The provider you set on the cohort is added to every candidate, like any vendor.
May be late means the expected start falls after the cohort's target start. It counts with your own processing times once you have 10 decisions on that country and route, else with the country's typical times; the board says which.
Cohorts are an early feature: Settio switches them on for a workspace.
