Getting started
Home: what needs you today
Home says in one sentence how many things need you today, then shows three tabs: Needs you, Waiting on others and Starting in 90 days, each row with the one thing to do.
- 1Three tabsNeeds you, Waiting on others and Starting in 90 days, each with its count and the one detail that matters (how many are overdue, not reminded yet, or likely late). One list shows at a time. The tab stays in the address, so a refresh keeps it; the arrow keys move between tabs.
- 2Needs youEvery step of yours that is late or blocked, the authority's deadlines, people whose start date passed without an arrival, and people ready to close, sorted Overdue, This week, Ready to close and Later. Each row has one named button: Record arrival, Mark done, Close case, Upload the document, Record salary or Open step. The ⋯ menu has the rest (open the person, remind).
- 3Waiting on othersEmployees who owe documents and employers whose steps wait, each with when they were last reminded. Remind sends after a short countdown you can cancel. Remind the N not reminded lists who gets an email and in which language before anything goes.
- 4Starting in 90 daysMonth columns, one row per person: a dot on the start date and a ring on the day they are likely ready, the gap in orange when that is later. The thin line is today. Likely dates come from your own past decisions, or the usual wait when there are too few.
- 5The side columnThis week lists real appointments, legal deadlines and first days. Settio did for you this week counts what ran by itself (steps closed, documents checked, reminders sent). Finish setting up shows while your setup checklist is open, and a practice case can be archived from its card.
- 6Find anyone, or do anythingPress ⌘K (Ctrl+K) or / anywhere, or just start typing on Home. Type the start of a first name, last name, email or unit; accents and one typo don't matter. The same box lists actions (Record arrival…, Record letter…, Upload document…, Leaving…, New case, Invite member, New client; only what your role may do), every page you can open, matching help guides, and with nothing typed your last five people.
Agencies: choose a client or a country in the row under the title, or Mine for the cases assigned to you. The client is the line under each person.
Nothing needs you? Home says you're all caught up and suggests what is worth a look while it's quiet: people likely to start before they are ready, and the employee who has gone longest without a reminder.
A brand-new workspace sees its first steps instead: the workspace is ready, add your first person, invite your team, with import and a practice case beside them.
Did someone's start date pass without an arrival? Home asks in Needs you. Settio also asks the employee on the start date (a phone notice and an email with their portal link, where Have you arrived? comes first), and if nothing is recorded a week later, the case's consultant (or the team running it) gets a bell notice and an email that opens Record arrival.
Record arrival opens the date and the length of stay right in the row. Mark done thanks you and offers Undo for a few seconds, then the row leaves (Undo also stays in the bar at the bottom). If someone changed the plan meanwhile, the row says so and Show the latest reads it again; if you're offline, Try again.
In ⌘K, pick an action like Record arrival…, then type the person's name: their page opens with the dialog ready.
Press ? on Home for the keyboard shortcuts: J and K move between rows, Enter opens, D marks done, R reminds, U undoes.
When the rules change under open cases, Home shows one row, Rules updated, with how many people to review.
Unanswered messages lists employees who have waited more than a working day for a reply; Reply opens their Messages tab.
